Great results in Regional Championpships

From June 12th to 14th regional championships were held in Annemasse. 5 swimmers of Chamonix did well and return home with a positive assessment :

Delphine Alessi is ranked 10th in 50 m backstroke and 13th in 100 m backstroke at those championships. Delphine will now train for open water swimming to compete for the regional title, she finished 2nd in her category last season.

After qualifying in regional championships reaching the minimum time, Sacha Robberse and Arthur Betemps sharpened as never have achieved very good performance. Unfortunately the both have missed their N2 qualification for few hundredths but they are promising swimmers with lots of enthusiasm and they'll be back in good shape next year. Just like Delphine, they will prepare for open water swimming to compete for the regional title.

Maxime Hemonet achieved a clean sweep respecting the minimums for N2 on 5 races (50 m,100 m, 200 m and 400 m freestyle and 50 m pap). He will try to qualify himself for his category French championships in Chamalieres in 4 weeks. Congratulations to this talented swimmer who has started competing for a year and has not finished to progress yet!

Maelle Fernandez who already got her ticket to the French championships in Agen swim the 50 m backstroke in 32 seconds and 82 hundredths during winter N2 in March. She will attempt to qualify for other races in the French championships during the N2 and will be ready to swim for the French title in July!

The pool in season is far from over, with 30 Chamonix swimmers including five top names who will compete for the 50 m pool regional championships in Chamonix Saturday, June 20th.
