GOLF
1. Brief Introduction to the Activity
Golf is a precision sport in which the aim is to hit a small ball into a series of 18 holes (sometimes 9), using as few strokes as possible and a selection of clubs.
Origin of the word
The word “golf” comes from the Middle Dutch kolf (“club” or “stick”), which passed through Scottish usage in the 15th century before eventually entering the French language.
The Chamonix Golf Club offers:
- Introductory sessions;
- Improvement and development sessions;
- Training for competitive players, up to departmental level.

All our coaches are qualified BEES instructors.

The Golf section offers lessons during the school year, outside school holiday periods, providing an opportunity to discover and improve in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere, with experienced and supportive coaches.

Registration takes place primarily during the Sports Fair.
