Charlotte in Graveline for the Open Water Swimming French Championships

It is at the water sports centre in Gravelines, from June 4th to 7th that took place the on open water swmming French championships.

Despite the sun of the North, water temperature did not exceed 18 degrees over the competition causing many withdrawals. Charlotte (regional champion in this discipline) has competed in 3 races alongside the best swimmers who disputed the qualification for the 2015 world championships.

In junior category, she finished : 5th of time trial 5 km (only 1min of the podium), 12th of mass start 10 km (Olympic discipline) and 6th of mass start 5 km, improving her personal best on this distance.

Encouraging performance for the rest of the season with the goal of keeping the head of the regional ranking in all categories for the 4th consecutive year. Charlotte was able to meet Axel Reymond,25 km European champion and 3rd time French champion. The meeting was cordial Axel providing valuable advices about training and lifestyle rigour. Less cordial but just as friendly Charlotte, after the 5 km finish, could take a picture with Philippe Lucas, iconic coach, who followed some of his swimmers from Sarcelles swimming club.

Charlotte will participate with 30 other swimmers from Chamonix to departmental championships which will be held in the beautiful 50 m outdoor pool of the the Richard Bozon sports center in Chamonix on June 20.
